The Aikido Fellowship is one of the largest standing Aikido associations in the UK, having been established in the early
1960s by Shihan Ralph Reynolds (the pioneer of Aikido in the West Midlands). The Aikido Fellowship is renowned for its high
standards of technical and coaching excellence and is considered to be a premier Aikido association, highly regarded in the
Aikido world.
The Aikido Fellowship comprises of over 20 clubs and 500 students, situated throughout the UK. The headquarters of the
Aikido Fellowship is the Birmingham Sports Centre at Highgate, Birmingham. This is an Aikido centre of excellence, offering
a breadth of instruction from junior and novice, through to senior Dan grade level.
The Aikido Fellowship is administered and managed by business professionals and maintains the highest standards of safety
and coaching excellence. The Aikido Fellowship promotes an "Aikido for all" policy, providing an open learning environment
for all abilities, age, gender etc.
The Aikido Fellowship is licensed to provide nationally accredited courses for advanced students wishing to become instructors.
The Aikido Fellowship has grown in size and stature due to the excellence of its Senior instructors under the guidance
of Shihan Reynolds. Many of the original students have themselves gone on to establish very successful clubs whilst continuing
there own development by training on Shihans mat. This ensures the continued development of highest standard of Aikido in
